Photographic Guild of Nova Scotia » 2010 Hello everyone The beach that we will traverse today is rocky and in places may be slippery with mud or seaweed. The walking is a little challenging, though should be no problem for those who are of average fitness and used to walking moderate distances regularly. Please know your own capability and don't do anything that you are not comfortable doing or go anywhere that you are not comfortable going. Please use footwear with good ankle support. Wellington boots are not appropriate. We will not be in a rush ... low tide is at 4.30 and we will have a 90 minute window after that. To get to the meeting spot at Cheverie, take exit 5 from Highway 101 northeast to Brooklyn. In Brooklyn, follow signs onto Highway 215 north to Cheverie and Walton (the latter will probably be the prominent name on the signs). The journey to Cheverie Beach is 60-90 minutes from Metro depending on your starting point. The rain date will be Sunday, one hour later.
