After a six-year absence, this effective, proven paper stretcher is back on the market. The stretcher, a simple assembly of 4 plastic edge clamps and a lightweight waterproof foam board, is available in three handy sizes:

  • quarter sheet
  • half sheet
  • full sheet

The Zipp Clamp consists of 4 specially designed plastic clamps, 4 tightening plugs, and a

to fit. That's all. No screws or small parts to get lost, nothing to malfunction. The Zipp Clamp is a simple, durable, and very effective watercolour paper stretcher.

The Zipp Clamp does not mar, fold, nor stain your paper - it leaves only a slight impression. Only a ½" border of paper is covered by the clamps. Because you do not cut the paper out of the stretcher, the lovely deckle edge is always left intact, so you can 'float' your paintings in the frame. (Every artist loves a deckle edge!)

The Gatorfoam board is lightweight, making the Zipp Clamp perfect for trips or classes. The quarter sheet size weighs just 1.3 lbs (598 gm). The board is also waterproof, acid-free, and mould-resistant, making the Zipp Clamp a durable and long-lasting paper stretcher. Many of the original Zipp Clamps are still in use today.

The Zipp Clamp can also be used when you're painting on paper with other water-based media, like liquid acrylics, gouache, and ink washes. Calligraphers too will enjoy its convenience.

"Dear David,
