Cosmetic Facial Surgery Perhaps the one of the greatest surprises that comes with age is that while our faces and bodies start to look tired and wrinkled on the outside, we often feel just as young as we did in years past on the inside - only now with greater wisdom, experience, and a better developed sense of humor. Oh, if only our appearance on the outside could match the person on the inside! Obviously diet and exercise, along with healthy life choices are important, but unfortunately we can't exercise away wrinkles. Fortunately, modern facial cosmetic surgery has become predictable, safer and simpler, to achieve the results that allow us to look on the outside how we feel on the inside. The underlying principle for me has always been to achieve the most beautiful result possible for each and every patient, while maintaining a natural look. One that begs the exclamation, "You look great! What have you been doing?!" At the same time, during a consultation, we always seek to find the simplest and safest procedure available to achieve the result that the patient is asking for. It is in this area that facial cosmetic surgery has dramatically evolved. 20 years ago patients were pulled and stretched in an effort to create a younger look. Now we recognize the importance of adding youthful volume to the face - often with no downtime at all. In the past, a facelift often required an overnight stay in a hospital. Now, all of our patients get to return to their comfortable own homes to recuperate on the same day. Botox, wrinkle fillers, endoscopic surgery, laser therapy, and small incision techniques have made looking great on the outside possible to more people than ever before. I hope that you enjoy the pages that follow. They allow you to see some of the things that are possible; procedures that my staff and I perform every day; that makes coming in to work a real pleasure. To all of my patients that have allowed me to use their before and after photographs - heartfelt thank-you! ~ Dr. Jon Perenack, MD, DDS
The Cosmetic Surgery Consult First and foremost, your cosmetic surgery consult should always be about you, and what your concerns are! We understand that appearance is a very personal expression of self, and is always to be respected. Your consult will begin the moment you start to fill out your medical health history. Your safety is of paramount importance. Previous medical conditions, medicines, allergies, other surgeries and pertinent life experiences all help us to provide you with a safe and pleasant experience. You will likely meet one of our patient coordinators just prior to meeting the surgeon. Please openly discuss your concerns! Our coordinators will help you choose surgery dates, discuss fees, and should be considered an easy, available source of information. Our coordinators are available to you even when Dr. Perenack is in surgery. Dr. Jon Perenack is our facial cosmetic surgeon. Board certified by both the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery in Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he is credited with numerous national publications and lectures. Dr. Perenack has a passion for helping patients achieve beautiful results. During your consultation he will review your goals, provide a thorough examination, and offer a treatment outline. Often, a complementary visit with one of our estheticians is recommended to fine tune your skin care. After your consult, we will help you schedule a follow-up appointment with Dr. Perenack. Our surgeon is always happy to meet with you again to discuss your concerns. Please bring along your spouse or friends who are there to support you. A follow-up appointment with one of our estheticians is a great way to help keep your skin as healthy as it can be!

Commonly used around the eyes to reduce fine lines and crow's feet, laser resurfacing may also be used to minimize forehead creases, lip lines, and other signs of sun damage to the skin. This revolutionary procedure can tighten eyelid skin and reduce bags, restoring a younger, healthier, and more rested appearance. Patients are asked to use antibiotic drops for one week and apply cold compresses during the first 24 to 48 hours after surgery.

Baton Rouge Face Lift | S-Lift and Mini-Lift Facelift Procedures in Gonzales LA

While these techniques may offer some benefit, we find that the most reliable, effective and cost beneficial result for lower face and neck rejuvenation still comes from the facelift. Smaller facelifts generally involve only tightening the skin around the front of the ears and are reserved only for those patients with the least amount of jowling.

Baton Rouge Browlift | Endoscopic Brow Lift Surgery Gonzales LA

The major advantage of endoscopic surgery over the standard upper facelift is that the incisions are much smaller and therefore the risk of bleeding, hair loss, scarring, and scalp numbness is significantly reduced. The incisions, usually located behind the hairline, are just large enough to allow the endoscopic camera under the skin so that the surgeon has a clear view of the muscles and soft tissues beneath.
