On August 8, 2005, President Bush signed into law the Energy Policy Act of 2005 which changed the Daylight Saving Time (DST) schedule that had been in effect since 1966. Today, clocks are set ahead one hour on the second Sunday in March. Clocks are set back one hour on the first Sunday in November.

This law affects thousands of Verdin customers who purchased electronic products that incorporated clocks with pre-programmed chips to automatically adjust the time for the old DST schedule.
