With a state-of-the-art fleet of over 2,800 tractors, and access to more than 22,000 53’ trailers, there are no restrictions. The average age of our assets is less than three years, and all include disc brakes for quicker stopping.

There is no need to feel limited to defined regional markets. Take advantage of full coverage throughout the U.S., as well as international deliveries to and from Mexico and Canada, dray solutions, and TWIC-approved drivers in multiple locations.

Technology that saves you time and headaches

We invest in the latest technology, with next-generation onboard communication systems enabling high-value product tracking, out-of-route tracking and continuous position history, as well as real-time visibility on exceptions in transit. Our advanced technology also includes satellite-equipped navigation, EDI order tendering and tracking, secure 24/7 online access to orders and billing, EOM load and revenue reports, e-billing, and personalized reporting.

The added flexibility of Xpress Consolidated

U.S. Xpress is also able to provide expertise in certain niches not traditionally served through our normal fleet by utilizing agents in our Xpress Consolidated program. These agents are exclusive to U.S. Xpress, use our trailer pools, meet our safety standards, are seamless to the customer, and provide unparalleled communication.

A concern for the earth

Throughout our history, U.S. Xpress has focused on safety and safety technology. We're committed to being at the forefront of safety compliance, using leading experts and comprehensive training to help ensure our drivers and staff are well prepared. As always, our trucks include the latest safety innovations, including up-to-date manual and auto-shift transmission technology, traction and stability control, and right-side cameras to minimize blind spots. Onboard communication systems feature text-to-speech capabilities to keep our drivers focused on the road ahead. You can trust your freight to one of the safest carriers in the business.

A commitment to safety

U.S. Xpress is a SmartWay Transport Partner, and won a 2009 SmartWay Environmental Excellence Award. We work hard to minimize our impact on the environment, including using more fuel-efficient tires, custom aerodynamic tractors and trailers, and technology to shorten trips and promote fuel conservation.

Demand Critical

The drivers who haul our Demand Critical freight are accustomed to running air freight, and we’ve built a proven track record of success with these drivers who understand the mission-critical nature of safely hauling highly-sensitive expedited freight. Our Demand Critical services, managed through Xpress Direct, a division of U.S. Xpress Enterprises, provide the specialized capacity you need in a hurry.

Our range of transportation services allows you to mix and match in order to arrange for the most efficient and seamless option available. Our strong working relationships with all Class 1 rail providers allow us to offer extremely competitive TOFC service. U.S. Xpress Enterprises Intermodal services combine the convenience of trucking with the cost advantages of rail.

With very young equipment – our trucks average nine months in age, and our 22,000 trailers average only five years – we ensure true expedited service with minimal breakdown. Far more than ordinary satellite communication equipment, our team trucks feature interactive computer systems that utilize cell, wireless or satellite signals.

That’s why our Dedicated services can provide custom support, such as training drivers to meet your specialized equipment requirements, including reefer, curtain side or flatbed, and supplying Hazmat-certified drivers. By utilizing our Dedicated services, you eliminate the risk and liability that is inherent when operating your own assets, and get steady capacity, predictable costs and an optimized distribution network in return.
