Margaret Atwood at the Regent
We are very pleased to announce that Margaret Atwood, Canadian novelist, poet, literary critic, social and environmental activist will appear at Picton’s Regent Theatre. Her topic for the evening is “Bulldozing the Mind: The Assault on Cultural and Rural Heritage”. You are invited to join Ms. Atwood at a reception with County food and wine at Books & Company, 289 Main St. Picton, and then enjoy a presentation by this Canadian literary icon at The Regent Theatre. The presentation is reserved seating, and there are a limited number of tickets for the reception.

November 24 – December 3
Wassail

Come for Countylicious, stay for Wassail! Every weekend from November 24th to December 3rd, many wineries and cideries will be blazing with festive lights and festooned with holiday cheer in celebration of Prince Edward County’s annual Wassail celebration. Shop for friends, family and corporate gifts, take in art exhibits, walk the vineyards and sample tempting treats while giving toasts of “good health”.

Bloomfield Festival of Lights
Street closed at 6pm, parade starts 6:30.
The village of Bloomfield sparkles like a magical fairyland for their annual night-time holiday parade with floats, bands and lots of glitz. Main Street closes at 6 p.m. and all the holiday lights in the village are turned on at once. The parade starts at 6:30 p.m. For a small town Wonderful Life feeling, come to Bloomfield for the parade.

Festival of Trees
The magic of the Christmas season transforms the historic Crystal Palace into a fairyland of twinkling lights, garland, exquisitely decorated trees and the seasonal music we all love to hear! The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will host the Festival of the Trees Silent auction at the Crystal Palace (Picton Fairgrounds) AND the Community Centre’s Banquet Room….lots and lots of trees!
