Originally on our KSS Swim Meet Schedule, St. James Seals sponsored “Swim For A Cure” Christmas Invitational, December 18 + 19/10, in the training tank, Pan Am Pool, Winnipeg. Entry Forms will be available by weeks end, and will be due back by Wednesday November 24/10.

This coming weekend will see a whole lot of action in the Kenora Aquatic Centre pool. The KSS will begin their competitive season by competing in the Great WOLF Howling Halloween Invitational Swim Meet October 23, 24, 2010 in Minneapolis, MN. Post Meet Summary:  The NWO team produced some impressive results at the Ontario Summer Games. The smallest team at the meet with 17 of a possible 24 swimmers brought home 22 medals in total. Post Meet Update:  Congratulations  to all the Sharks for their efforts in the biggest meet of the 2009-2010 season.  The highlight accomplishment for our swimmers was  a bronze medal for Paige Murphy in the 400IM.  Paige swam a personal best swim of 5:09.72 as the whole Sharks contingent cheered her on.  A third place finish [..]

Archive Meets | Kenora Swimming Sharks

Laura Stasiuk, Ronan Cameron, Michelle Balcaen and Paige Murphy are back from a success filled trip to the Speedo Western Canadian Championships. The Kenora Swimming Sharks got some great press this week including an article on Golden Plains in Wednesday’s Kenora Miner and News. The Red and Black meet is an interclub meet that brings all levels of swimmers together to compete for the fabulous Shark Trophy.

60 plus NWO Regional Swimmers participated in the swimmer education activities on “swimmer nutrition” and “swimmer stretching” and then competed in the 400 Meter Challenge Swim Meet in the afternoon, while 40 plus parents (20 plus from the KSS) participated in various Officiating Courses.

The KSS finished a very strong 7th Place Overall in Final Team Standings out of 25 participating teams, and we had some really outstanding performances from all our swimmers. After a quick perusal of the preliminary psych sheets, it looks like this swim meet will provide the perfect level of competition for all participating swimmers.
