Post meet Coach’s notes:  A really good swim meet for the KSS.  We had just 8 swimmers make the trip into Winnipeg for this swim meet, and all 8 swam really well. The competition level was excellent with teams from Alberta, Saskatchewan, maniftoba and of course Ontario in attendance.  Six of 8 KSS swimmers earned [..]

This is our annual NWO Regional Championship Swim Meet. We had 26 Sharks head to Thunder Bay to show them what Kenora is made of. Post Meet Coach’s Notes What a fantastic weekend for the KSS. The bus ride was fun (if uneventful), and the swim meet sessions were fairly short and very well run. [..]

Laura Stasiuk (20), Ronan Cameron (16), Michelle Balcaen (15) and Paige Murphy (13) are back from a success filled trip to the Speedo Western Canadian Championships.  As this was a Senior Championship meet, Laura competed in the 16 and over category, Michelle and Paige competed in the 15 and under category and Ronan competed in the 16 and under category. 60 plus NWO Regional Swimmers participated in the swimmer education activities on “swimmer nutrition” and “swimmer stretching” and then competed in the 400 Meter Challenge Swim Meet in the afternoon, while 40 plus parents (20 plus from the KSS) participated in various Officiating Courses.

The KSS finished a very strong 7th Place Overall in Final Team Standings out of 25 participating teams, and we had some really outstanding performances from all our swimmers. After a quick perusal of the preliminary psych sheets, it looks like this swim meet will provide the perfect level of competition for all participating swimmers.
