PROOF OF CURRENT VACCINATION IS REQUIRED AT CHECK IN!   Pets that are not completely up to date on their vaccinations will be turned away, please ensure everything is up to date (with the proof), as we don't want to have to leave you in the lurch.  We cannot put our entire business and our guests at risk due to a preventable illness outbreak.

Reservations are essential!

A very important aspect for us, as operators of Sunset Kennels, is to ensure every guest is happy by providing exercise, stimulation and socialisation (where possible) in a warm, comfortable and safe environment.

Where a dog is social, plenty of opportunity is given for the dog to run and play with other social dogs throughout the day:  it is not uncommon to have up to 12 medium and large dogs playing together at any time in one of our large outdoor play areas.  Small social dogs have a number of rooms to roam around freely, with the company of several other small social dogs and their own outdoor play area, this occurs 24/7.

Where a dog is not so social, options are discussed with the dogs' parents to get an idea of how the dog may be introduced to another dog(s), this could simply be only certain dogs are introduced.  If there is no option of socialisation for the dog, they are still exercised several times each day and provided with stimulation to ensure a happy stay.

Special needs pets are also accommodated at Sunset Kennels, whether a pet is blind, deaf (or both), physically disabled or whatever.  If you have a special needs pet, please give us a call to discuss services for your special pet while you are away.

We are very open to the public coming to view our facilities, but please call us first for an appointment as we do not like to disturb our guests during their rest or feeding times!

Unfortunately, cats are not socialised with other cats not of the same family.
