Today an MLS offers numerous online real estate products to its members, such as electronic forms, lockboxes, appointment scheduling, virtual tours, videos, mapping, and community information. Stratus works with its MLS customers and their vendors to seamlessly integrate many of these products for easy member access.

Stratus's RETS server allows the MLS to securely provide controlled data to authorized third parties in the real estate industry. Today a number of third party software providers access the MLS's RETS server, including:

  • IDX vendors
  • Software providers such as Top Producer and Listingbook
  • Listing syndicators
  • Newspapers, for print and online ads
  • Growing list of vendors using MLS data

For Stratus MLS customers who share data with nearby MLSs — whether that data resides on numerous RETS servers or on a single shared server — Stratus can tailor the perfect solution. Joint data access allows cross-MLS searches that span regions near and far.

Real Estate Transactions Standard Server

To manage the RETS server's use and performance, the MLS may limit the number of listings a user can access in a single session or within a particular time-frame, and restrict access frequency and time-of-day. The Stratus RETS Server fully supports the features of the Real Estate Transactions Standard and facilitates MLS data sharing between real estate industry software providers.
