Saturday night saw racing at one of Christians favorite tracks, Ventura Raceway, which sits in Ventura, CA about 100 yards from the ocean. If you have never seen this track it is worth checking out. In December 2009, the foundation also donated to the El Capitan High School Automotive Car Club. The donation was $2,500 and they used the money to purchase class t-shirts as well as to replace equipment, including, a drill press, solvent tank, welding supplies, a mig welder, a band saw, a belt sander and grinding wheels. In November 2009, $500 was donated by the Christian Stover Foundation and put towards gift baskets for the El Capitan High School senior dinner auction. All of the money raised will go to fund a safe and sober grad night for the class of 2010.

Also in September of 2009, the foundation donated $1,200 to the El Capitan Assistance Account allowing four anonymous football players to obtain the league-required health insurance. The donation made it possible for them to participate during the ’09-’10 football season.

In September 2009, the Christian Stover Foundation donated $3,365 to the El Capitan High School Yearbook staff. Supervisor Denise Dreis says, “Christian was an incredibly kind young man. In May 2009, the foundation gave a $2,000 1st annual Christian Stover Golf Scholarship to former El Capitan student Taft Spain.
