 My name is Blake James, and I am all about creativity. I enjoy graphic design, writing/producing music, photography, and long walks on the beach!

Q: What do you do at Steve Spangler Science?
A:
 I have the privilege of designing things like catalogs and web pages for Steve Spangler Science. I am also known in the front office for my extremely corny jokes.


Q: What do you like best about what you do?
A:
 My favorite part about what I do for Steve Spangler Science is the environment that I get to work in. The energy in the office is always explosive (sometimes literally). The people I work with are funny, intelligent, and spontaneous. I get everything I need from the people I work with, the projects I’m working on, and even the building itself, to keep my creativity fueled all day long.


Q:  What is your favorite Steve Spangler Science moment?
A:
 My favorite SSS moment…. it’s really hard to pick just one favorite moment! I guess I would have to say that my favorite moment was when I found out that our company was awarded Website of

Q: What do you do at Steve Spangler Science?
A: I handle accounts payable and receivable, as well as conference planning.  If you’ve seen our booth at a conference, it’s because of yours truly.  I book the travel, make sure the product arrives safely, print lots and lots of maps and do everything just shy of planning their bathroom breaks…although, sometimes I plan that too.

A:
I am Colonel Panic, the System Profiler and IT Director. I roam the halls with my trusty sidekick, Fred the Crocheted Zombie, fighting technology bottlenecks wherever we find them.

A: I am a very proud American with a German/Italian heritage. I am an extremely loyal family member, friend, and co-worker. I am  a college student working toward a degree in Business Administration and Marketing.

Q: What do you do at Steve Spangler Science?
A: I work back in the Distribution Center as the Receiving Manager. I check in boxes from vendors who ship the product we put onto our shelves. I work with inbound and outbound palletized shipments, helping organize drop off and pick up times. After receiving the shipment, I help stock, face, and organize the distribution center. This helps the pickers move easily through our shelves to find the fun items we ship to our customers.

Q: What do you like best about what you do?
A: I like many things, starting with where I work. Steve Spangler Science is a family based, fun, and caring workplace. My  job allows me to venture behind the scenes of the business world to see how product comes and goes while making sure the customer stays happy. I like knowing we’re the

A: I am 42, a mother of two, and also a grandmother of three beautiful grand babies. I love to work and play hard. I volunteer for the which raises money for people who need to get their GED. I also volunteer for an organization that helps people who have a drug and/or alcohol problem. I am very driven, self-motivated, and a hard worker. At SSS there is always something different going on which makes my life exciting and challenging.

Q: What do you do at Steve Spangler Science?
A: I work in the Production Department, where all the unique Steve Spangler products are put together. We take pride in every product that we assemble and strive to make sure it is as good as the very first one that was ever produced. It is a challenging and exciting department to manage.

One glass mason jar filled with water and capped off with a simple index card put the fear of getting wet into 9News Weathercaster Becky Ditchfield. Pump a little methane into soapy water, add a little fire and watch it do its dance. This demonstration involves fire and is intended for trained chemistry teachers. The water is suspended in the jar because of air pressure and surface tension.
