Preheat oven to 350F (180C) - Do not thaw prior to roasting.

Remove the turkey from the outer bag. While still in its roasting jacket, place in a roasting pan. Cut 6 to 8 V shaped slits in the roasting jacket. Loosen and pull away from the turkey to allow for venting of steam. Roast until a meat thermometer reaches 165F (74C) in the breast and 180F (82C) in the thigh. The timer will pop up when the turkey is done. Allow the turkey to stand for 15 minutes before carefully cutting open the roasting jacket - steam will be hot!
