The FDM fused deposition model process is additive and extrudes material in layers. A plastic filament is melted and extruded through a heated nozzle. The nozzle moves to produce a profile of the part then moves down and the next layer is built on top until the entire prototype model is complete. The model is requires no hardening. FDM is an excellent choice for any 3D Model that needs to closely represent the final product in strength and durability. FDM is used mostly for concept models, and functional testing.  TMA Prototype has FDM capacity 4"x4"x4"

The FTI film transfer image process uses a liquid polymer that is cured by UV light in layers .004" thick.  These models produce very fine details and can be sanded, machined, painted and metal plated.  FTI models are excellent showpieces and are used for many applications ranging from functional product testing to fine art display.

3D scanning allows us to take an object of any size and digitize it into a C.A.D. file.  These files can then be used to create copy's using rapid prototyping, or to make drawings for reverse engineering.  TMA Prototype has 3D scanning capacity with no set size limit.
