Spend a relaxing afternoon with the kids and try your hand at catching a Steelhead Trout in the Forestry Farm Park Fishing Pond.
The pond is open daily for your fishing enjoyment. It was built in partnership with Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management through the fish enhancement program. There is a two fish per person, per day limit, and they encourage catch and release.
Daily fishing permits are required. They are available at the front gate from May 1 to September 5. From September 7 to October 31, fishing permits are available at the Zoo Admission Gate.
You must supply your own equipment and bait.

September 7-October 31 – 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Fishing Permit Prices: Adult (16+) $2, Youth (Under 16) $1.
Kinsmen Express Peoplemover (The Zoo Train)
Due to mechanical issues, the train will not be running Sunday, May 1st. May 7th and May 8th are tentative. Please check back prior to that weekend for updates.
During your next visit to the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo, take a guided tour on the Kinsmen Express Peoplemover. Fun for children and seniors alike, the Kinsmen Express is a comfortable and exciting way to view and learn about our magnificent animals and exciting history.
Discover the zoo in style as you learn about bison and white-tailed deer, along with many other exciting animals. There are hundreds of explanations and neat things to learn from the species at Saskatchewan's only zoo accredited by the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
Next stop – the heritage tour. Learn what vital role the Sutherland Forest Nursery Station played towards the settlement and development of the Prairies.
The Kinsmen Express has its own sound system and is driven by a trained tour guide who gives you up-to-the-minute information on the animals and heritage. The Peoplemover is also wheelchair accessible – everyone is welcome to ride the Kinsmen Express!

With a capacity of 225 and access to large barbecues (user must supply briquettes) behind the hall and kitchen facilities, the Hall is the perfect setting for family reunions, sports team windups and office gatherings.
If you're looking for a quiet, secluded area for a small gathering, the Gazebo is the perfect place for you. Though entirely an outside facility, water and electricity services are available along with barbecues and picnic tables.
WEDDINGS IN THE PARK
Book your wedding ceremony in our beautiful garden area. Exchange your vows by an archway, with all your guests comfortably seated under the sky!
SOUTH BOOTH AND BALL DIAMOND
The south end of the park is equipped with a small building with overhang and electrical service – the ideal place to store, prepare, and serve food and beverages. An open field and baseball diamond are nearby for games. Picnic tables and a fire pit are also available (user must supply own firewood).
FORESTRY FARM HOUSE
The house has a capacity of 35 people. This award-winning, beautifully restored heritage house is the perfect location for retreats, workshops, or meetings.
The Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo is owned and operated by the City of Saskatoon. The City of Saskatoon works with the Saskatoon Zoo Society, the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation, the Friends of the Forestry Farm House, and the Saskatchewan Perennial Society at this facility.
