The Room Scheduling Office (RSO) is a unit within Facilities Management Division. All requests for space, regardless if the event is to be held inside or outside, should be directed to the RSO. Prime responsibilities include booking:

  • Classrooms
  • Lecture theatres
  • Seminar rooms
  • Lounges
  • Outside spaces
  • Convocation Hall
  • Green Room

By using the RSO as the key point of contact, this will facilitate the coordination of services required for the event as well as providing information on general space use guidelines and on matters related to the liability insurance requirements. Information on room capacities and space rental rates are also available from the RSO.

  1. Academic Departments, Extension Division and the Office of the Registrar for academic program needs.
  2. Administrative departments; groups and functions authorized by the University of Saskatchewan Students Union (USSU).
  3. Conferences authorized by Conference Services; a space rental fee one-half of the full rental rate will be applied (see item # 21, Rental Rates). The fee received for space rental are to be paid to Facilities Management.
  4. Non-university organizations - Authorization is required and a space rental fee at full rate will be applied (see Authorization - Glossary of Terms and item # 21, Rental Rates). The fees received for space rental are to be paid to Facilities Management.

Departments and units will be responsible for repairs to furniture in their office spaces, general office areas, and faculty and staff lounges.

If you are ordering specialized equipment, please send a copy of the installation and equipment specifications with the installation request.
