Great Old Cerrillos Turquoise Navajo Silver Bracelet

Sensational well made old Native American Navajo bracelet featuring 3 large turquoise stones with the center measuring just over 1" in diameter, mounted to a hand forged and split shank of coin silver or better. The stones are obviously natural and you can see some nice wear has brought a smoothness to the silver and has flattened ever so slightly the edges of the center stone.

The artist that made this was really a master silver smith. You can see that by the expertly stamped design on the shank. Take not how he really paid attention to detail. He must have known that just allowing the stones to hang over the bracelet like that might cause the stones to break so he slipped a silver drop under each end. We found that to be very clever because if he has not, we doubt this bracelet would be still intact today. Not only that, but it also allows for it to be ever so slightly adjustable as well.

When the piece was purchased by the collector in San Diego he was given a letter of authenticity from the Gallery that he purchased it from which dates it 1920's.
