Leadership coaching works directly with the individual leader being coached while the team coaching holds the relationship as the client, rather than the individuals involved.
The Primary Focus
Although you can address relationship issues in the leadership coaching program the primary focus is individual development. The focus of the team coaching is on the development of the team as a whole. It is not effective to do individual work within the team; it deprives the team from accessing information and creativity residing in the larger whole.
