  Half Day Courses:

Effective Accident Investigations

You will learn the legal requirements for accident investigation.  You will understand the immediate and the root causes of accidents. You will learn how to investigate accidents to develop and implement solutions so that “it won’t happen again”. You will learn how to get the most benefits out of the resources and effort you put into effective accident investigation.

  Pro-active Workplace Inspection

You will learn the legal requirements for workplace inspections.  You will understand the different types of inspections and their benefits.  You will learn how to document and communicate inspection findings to control hazards, prevent accidents and avoid infractions of the legal requirements.

  Effective Hazard Recognition and Control

You will understand the legal requirements of Hazard Recognition and Control.  You will learn how to Identify, Assess and Control hazards in your workplace.  You will learn how to rate the hazards so that you can prioritize the control of Significant Hazards.  This is a requirement for Level II of Joint Health and Safety Committee Certification and excellent use of resources.  

Health Safety & the Law

You will understand the legal requirements for a Pro-active Health and Safety Program in your workplace.  This is an important step for employers, managers and supervisors to prove due diligence or move on to Best Practices.  You will also understand how and why knowing the legal requirements for Health and Safety in your workplace is an important component of being a “competent person”.

Proactive Job\Task Analysis - Job Safety Analysis

Standard Safe Operating Procedures is one the best ways to assure consistent, quality, productivity and quality.  You will learn how to analyze a Job or a Task and how to identify loss potentials.  You will learn how to implement controls to eliminate and/or reduce the causes of substandard quality productivity and safety performance.

  Generic WHMIS for Workers and Supervisors

You will understand the legal requirements for WHMIS. You will learn about the Three Basic Components of WHMIS, How to Read a Material Data Sheet and the How to Make Sense of the Various Labels you find in your workplace. You will learn how to conduct your own in-house WHMIS Audit and set up and/or review your WHMIS program. 

One Day Courses:

Learn how to conduct you own in-house WHMIS training and set-up and audit your entire WHMIS program.  

  Train-the-Trainer for TDG

You will learn the principles of adult learning.  You will be able to distinguish between, education, training, knowledge and skills, etc.  You will learn how to give feedback and how to coach to improve performance.  You will understand the legal requirements for TDG. You will learn how to conduct you own in-house TDG training and set-up and maintain an effective TDG program. 

Two Days Courses:

JHSC Certification - Level I

In this course participants will complete a WSIB approved training program which enables them to fulfill the requirements for Level I JHSC Training. Participants will acquire knowledge and skills in the areas of: Safety Health and the Law, Hazard Recognition and Control, Workplace Inspection, Accident Investigation and Effective JHSC Meetings.  You will learn how to prepare for and proceed to complete the Level II Certification requirements (Final Certification Process).
