RV Distance Learning Network

Through a partnership with the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA), the RV Learning Center offers the Distance Learning Network (DLN), a distance learning training program created specifically for RV dealerships. The DLN is an in-house, mentor-led, group-learning online program. Adult education experts at the RV Training Institute at Florida Gateway College work with experienced RV professionals to develop and update about 50 sessions of training.

The RV Distance Learning Network offers several training courses, including: 

  • Advanced/Manufacturer Specific Training:  Features product-specific training from RV manufacturers and suppliers from within the RV industry.
  • RV Greeter - Receptionist Course:  A 50-minute program that covers: the importance of customer service; the skills and expectations for the RV Receptionist; the importance of making the right first impression; communicating on the phone; handling difficult customers; and organizational techniques for the workplace. The program is suitable for all persons needing customer service skills – EVERYONE at your dealership!  The program includes a final exam and certificate of completion.

New for the 2011-2012 Term: Trouble shooting classes for Atwood Water Heaters and Kwikee Steps. Refrigerator and a/c trouble shooting classes are under review for the advanced track. The educators are also planning new ONAN programming and a brief class on “Hints for Towing Installation and Safety."
