I often recommend that quilters start hand piecing with Quilted Diamonds 2 (the second book) because it is so easy to learn from the demonstrations on the DVD.  Each book is $29.95 but QD2 includes a two-hour hand piecing lesson on DVD, for the same price.  You can compare the contents of the two books and see sample pages of each using the links here.

The diamonds are inspired by the Jane Austen coverlet, but are a different size. For a pattern for a replica quilt, please see the Inklingo pages.

 All prices in US dollars.

There is a simple test page with all 20 Inklingo ink colors, so you can test to be sure that the ink in your printer will wash out, and that a color does not show through the front. It allows you to cut with scissors, or cut several layers at a time with a rotary cutter. When it is ironed to freezer paper, it goes through a printer safely, just like paper. When you discover the benefits of Inklingo as a quilting tool.

Lucy Boston

My pattern book for The Patchwork of the Crosses was prepared with the gracious assistance of Diana Boston (Lucy Boston's daughter-in-law), and is illustrated with photographs by Julia Hedgecoe. Why quilters love Inklingo for POTC.

Jane Austen

Inklingo’s precise lines for stitching and cutting—perfectly printed on the fabric by the hundreds—make it easier than they could have imagined in the early 1800s. Quilters love having matching marks and stitching lines on every piece, so they can hand piece when they are on the go, and machine piece when they need speed. No expensive cutting machines required—and there are stitching lines and matching marks printed on every shape.
