MRB & Associates is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm covering every
aspect of the mineral exploration industry.
We provide quality and timely services such as:
NI 43-101 Compliant Technical Reports
Our qualified persons deliver consistent high quality technical reports
for mining and exploration companies that seek to finance themselves
through the preparation of a prospectus or to simply announce important
changes in the company’s mineral resource inventory.
We have established a reputation in the development of exploration targets
by combining surface geophysics, structural geology and geochemical
analytical work. As exclusive consultants or in collaboration with
corporate geology departments, MRB provides on-the-ground expertise with
seasoned professionals knowledgeable about regional and local geology. Our
qualified team of professionals can provide complete management services
of surface exploration programs.
Mineral Resource Estimates
MRB & Associates has a qualified staff with the experience necessary to
review exploration and production data. We provide accurate and
independent third party mineral resource evaluations and associated
geological interpretation work. The resource estimates can be calculated
either by the polygonal or interpolation methods.
Digital Compilation Work
MRB specializes in digital compilation work. This service entails the
integration of historical diamond drilling work, geophysics and
geochemical data into one comprehensive database. In this way, our clients
can have quick access to the complete dataset pertaining to their projects
which can significantly impact the design of exploration programs. Our GIS
department uses the Arcview software.
3D Geological Modelling
MRB & Associates has developed an expertise in the preparation of computer
models from information on paper. Today, 3D Mine Modelling can
significantly increase the chances for drill success. In this way, maximum
value and better returns can be expected for shareholders and investors in
companies that work with these advantages.
In today’s world of advanced technology, mineral exploration companies find themselves dealing with a wide variety of digital data on a daily basis. Whether dealing with diamond-drilling campaigns, geochemical sampling programs, geophysical surveys, reconnaissance mapping, and even boot and hammer prospecting, modern era exploration results are now archived in digital database format.
The principle problem facing Mineral Exploration Companies is how to transcribe and integrate historic and recent information from multiple formats – i.e., wide size-ranges of paper reports and maps, and digital data stored in diverse software programs – into an integrated, error-free and secure data repository
For example, diamond-drilling databases are regularly imported directly into 3D mining software programs in order to complete mineral resource evaluations; but beware, there is an well known expression that applies here – “garbage in = garbage out”. No matter how well the mineral study was conducted, if the imported dataset contains errors, the final product will be unreliable, with potentially damaging results.
Over the past 10 years, MRB has cultivated its expertise in the field of data management, and have developed effective procedures to address the principle concerns that our clients have expressed over the years; namely those of security, reliability, accessibility and vulnerability.
In addition to securing the exploration data of our clients and creating off-site back-up procedures, we also correct and validate all databases to ensure reliability and NI 43-101 compliance through the use of diligent QA/QC standards. This process includes extensive error checking when transcribing any external data into a central database, e.g., importing analytical results into drill-hole databases and logs.
Our qualified team of GIS specialists can field-survey all drill-hole collar locations using high precision GPS equipment. Precise and accurate drill-collar location data is a critical aspect that is often overlooked, but which is very important to generating a representative geological model and a valid resource estimate.
