Filterfab - filtration anti-static

Keywords: Dust Cake

The build-up of static electricity on a filter dust cake and on filter media can be a serious safety hazard. If not properly dissipated this charge can lead to an explosion or cause problems with the release of the dust cake from the needlefelt. As most fibers are not good conductors of electricity it is necessary to modify standard needlefelts with the introduction of conductive materials.

Antistatic needlefelt utilizes a woven scrim comprised partially of stainless steel yarns in both the warp and fill directions thus creating a needlefelt which provides uniform static-dissipating properties. Antiststic results are less than 25,000 Ω at 250 volts, far superior than blended epitropic needlefelts. The antistatic design is not only a very cost-effective needlefelt but can be produced in the shortest of lead times.

Filterfab - filtration multi-pleated

Filterfab offers the multi-pleat filter in several fabrics at this time but is constantly developing new materials to continue the improvement of the product and meet the industries individual requirements. The multi-pleated filter element is designed to allow greater gas flow and has more surface filtration area than standard filter bags of the same length.

Filterfab - filtration welded-seams

Heat is applied to the seam edges to their softening/melting point without heating the rest of the felt creating a uniform seam with no interruptions or stoppages. Increased ef?ciency is one of the major bene?ts – no needle holes equals increased ?ltration, an important factor when choosing a ?lter for your use. Special continually-operating machines, resembling sewing machines, press the felt together and advance it to the hot air nozzle.

Filterfab - filtration ptfe-membrane

Acting as dust cake requiring no pre- coat before or during operation, the PTFE membrane preserves the ?lter substrates integrity while maintaining optimum air?ow at a reduced pressure drop. Thermally stable up to 550º F its applications include baghouses, dust collection and air pollution control devices and is available for pulse-jet, plenum pulse, reverse air and shaker bags.

Filterfab - filtration

Variables such as temperature, moisture level, particulate size, gas-stream chemistry, air-to-cloth ratios, particulate abrasives and the myriad of mechanical factors are all taken into consideration to choose the best fabric suited to your system. Felt ?lter bags are used in pulse-jet collectors and woven ?lter bags are used in reverse air or shaker baghouses.
