Corn Oil | Sager

By removing free fatty acids and phospholipids from crude corn oil, the oil refining process gives corn oil one of the qualities consumers value most: excellence in frying and resistance to smoking or discoloration. Corn oil also has a pleasant taste, resists the development of off-flavours and offers high levels of polyunsaturated fats and low levels of saturated fats.

Olive Oils | Sager

When an olive oil does not qualify as a virgin olive oil or is too high in acidity, it is refined to remove any defects or to reduce the acidity level. Sager markets Olive oil under the La Perla, Regina and Cantalia brands as well as under private label. Virgin olive oil is obtained only from the olive which is the fruit of the olive tree. This type of olive oil has not undergone any type of refining treatment.

Peanut Oil | Sager

Another important factor which should be considered is the fact that Peanut oil does not breakdown into trans-fatty acids at high heat level as compared to other oils, and is therefore an added benefit when cooking with peanut oil. Peanut oil contains 48% monounsaturated fats (monounsaturated fat is the 'good' fat which can help lower blood cholesterol levels) and 33% polyunsaturated fats.

Canola Oil | Sager

Nutritional research has confirmed that the fatty profile of Canola oil appears to be beneficial in preventing and treating coronary heart disease risk factors including high cholesterol and lipid levels. Canola is recognized for its nutritional attributes as it contains the lowest level of saturated fatty acids of any vegetable oil. Like all vegetable oils, Canola oil is cholesterol-free.
