Pultronics developed an enterprise-level Wireless Monitoring Platform and resulting solutions used for real time or near real time tracking and monitoring of critical assets, inventory or personnel.
Platform consists of miniature, low-cost, battery powered active RFIDs, cellular network of internet connected antennas, and software tools. Built following an innovative sensor-to-database technology, our system permits to collect data from multiple world-wide locations to a single database. It provides real-time, fully automated internet based monitoring.
3-tier hardware/software platform:
Pultronics platform is a 3-tier hardware/software sensor network, partitioned into 3 subsystems consisting of:
• lower-tier composed of low data rate energy constrained sensors,
• middle-tier consisting of long range coordinator nodes which are free of energy constraints and provide increased network and computational capacity, enabling modular large-scale deployments, and
• upper-tier consisting of necessary services.
The lower-tier sensor nodes can be equipped with various sensors permitting to rapidly adapt the network for new applications. When equipped with sensors, they monitor critical parameters of asset or person, enabling multiple applications ranging from inventory tracking, or temperature monitoring to remote EKG monitoring.
The middle-tier nodes can be equipped with various communication interfaces complementary to default communication through Ethernet.
The Temperature Monitoring System permits to continuously monitor the temperature of items, interior of refrigerating equipment or storage areas. It generates the appropriate reports showing the temperature over time profiles, issues alarms when temperature exceeds alarm thresholds and provides users with remote access to temperature databases through the Internet. The system can simultaneously handle over 16 millions uniquely identifiable temperature sensors. System can be used for fixed position sensing in a temperature controlled environment as well as for monitoring assets moving through a supply chain.

It permits to continuously monitor items, when they move through the supply chain. It is conceived to cover multiple locations for a world wide application. Pultronics Wireless Monitoring platform permits to connect various biomedical sensors, as complex as e.g. ECG, and allows to access the data from a remote location. These data can be associated with quantified movement translated to activity patterns.

Sensor Tag model STA-434-01 is a small battery powered wireless sensor. The sensor, when attached to an asset, monitors the data from the object, as the object is moving through the facility.
The emitted RF signals from Sensor Tag are received by the Readers and transported over Ethernet LAN (Local Area Network) to local or remote database. If the alarm condition is reached, the alarm signal is issued.
The Sensor Tag can be installed on monitored asset within seconds without any special tools or procedures. Hermetically sealed, it can be used in harsh outdoor environment. The Networked Tag Reader devices plug directly to LAN at remote location and do not require any modification to an existing LAN. Modularity of the system permits addition of new surveyed areas or items by simply attaching the Sensor Tags to monitored objects and plugging-in an additional Tag Readers to the network to cover the additional area.
