Version 6.2.1 - New Features & Enhancements
Faster Build Times for Urban and Large Area Terrain Databases
Additional back-end build engines are being provided with Terra Vista ProBuilder and DART so that customers can leverage additional build capabilities to reduce the amount of time required generating databases. These additional back-end build engines allow for multiple terrain blocks to be processed simultaneously and independently, thereby providing users with the ability to efficiently build selected areas of interest within a terrain database or the entire terrain database with a single execution of Terra Vista regardless of size, and without any additional post processing or scripting.
Enhanced Road Features
Image Blending & Feathering
Users now have the ability to smooth and feather the transition from multiple image files to remove the appearance of hard edges throughout a database. These new feathering and blending capabilities provide for a more realistic and seamless texture across your visual databases.
Generate Buildings with Interiors
Customers can now generate buildings with interiors using the Creator Building Interior Wizard for visual (OpenFlight/MetaFlight), CTDB (MES), OneSAF (UHRB), and VBS2 (P3D) outputs. Users can rapidly generate building interiors from templates or from custom layouts built with Creator for use in multiple run-time systems.
Automated LOD Generation for Wizards
The Bridge and Building Wizards can now automatically create up to three levels of detail (LOD) for the models they build. Users can build larger databases more efficiently with complex buildings and bridges that preserve visual details, while using significantly fewer polygons in order to ensure better run-time performance.
Latest Output Support & Other Enhancements
Presagis remains committed to maintaining support for new and existing industry formats. Below are updates that have been included in Terra Vista v.6.2, and other enhancements of this release.
AI.implant Output Compiler
JCATS 9.0 Import and Export
The JCATS output compiler has been updated to support the import and export of JCATS v.9.0 terrain databases.
Vega Prime v.4.0 3D Viewer
The Vega Prime-based 3D viewer in Terra Vista will allow customers to take advantage of the latest developments and formats supported in Vega Prime v.4.0.
Version 6.1 - New Features
Import and Export VBS2's P3D Model Format
Users can now import Bohemia Interactive's P3D model format for the VBS2 terrain format. This will allow for the use of existing P3D models, to include those with building interiors and articulated parts, to be imported into Terra Vista and output to the VBS2 terrain database.
Create Volumetric Complex Tunnels
The complex tunnel feature will allow for the rapid creation of volumetric underground tunnels and facilities that can have a variety of above-ground and underground components that interconnect at various locations.
CCS Support for MMB
CCS support offers users easier configuration management for MMB setup, as well as lower initial operating system costs. Additionally, it efficiently leverages the power of 64-bit computers in an affordable high-performance computing (HPC) solution.
Enhanced 3D Viewer
Users now have the ability to preview and navigate CDB data in a 3D environment, enabling them to analyze and review their CDB output.
New Tutorial Guides
New tutorials are now provided with the Sample Database to better help leverage Terra Vista tools (Getting Started Guide, VBS2 Tutorial and Creating Virtual Texture Databases for Vega Prime).
OTF 8 Import & Export
Users will now be able create highly detailed and correlated OneSAF Terrain Format (OTF) 8 compliant databases for use with the OneSAF Objective System (OOS) version 4.0 runtime environment.
