The Wire Waxing System is designed to apply a wax-soluble coating to galvanized steel wire, which serves to lubricate and protect the wire from corrosion. The Wax Tank consists of a lower reservoir tank to hold the soluble wax and water mix and an elevated work tank. The lower tank is heated by an electrical immersion heater complete with a locally mounted temperature controller. A float valve on the water inlet maintains the lower tank fluid level.
The heated wax is pumped to the upper tank by means of a Centrifugal Pump complete with motor, guard and coupling. The pump is completely pre-piped including inlet and discharge valves. The wires are guided along rollers on the upper tank and are dried upon exiting by means of an Air Knife.
