Qualifications for pilots are a Canadian Rotorcraft ATPL-H. A Group IV Instrument rating, a night rating and a SK92 endorsement are also a prerequisite. A foreign equivalent will be considered for candidates with relevant experience.
The specific requirements for the positions at this time are previous experience on large multi-crew helicopters with at least 3000 hours pilot in command on rotorcraft, 1500 hours in medium/heavy rotorcraft category with 1500 hours pilot in command on multi-engine helicopters and 250 hours instrument flight time. A Search and Rescue background as well as relocation to St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador will be required.
LINE HELICOPTER PILOT
COMPETITION #10 - 2011
The Line pilot is responsible for the safe operation of the WPS helicopter during all phases of flight. Prior to flight, the pilot obtains a weather briefing and ensures that the aircraft is safe and able to perform the required mission. Air Traffic Control communications, weather conditions and operational parameters are continually monitored to ensure optimum flight safety.
When workload permits and safely able to do so, the pilot assists the Tactical Flight Officer with geographic locations, containment and tactics, operation of the Spotlight, and communications with WPS.
The work is both self assigned, through the monitoring of the police radio / duty cell phone, and delegated and monitored by the Chief Pilot or the Patrol Sergeant of Flight Operations Unit.
A pilot of the helicopter is part of an airborne police team enhancing the safety of members and citizens alike. The police teams are able to light up traffic stops, manage pursuits safely, and assist in apprehending criminals that would otherwise have escaped, search for missing people and numerous other tasks leading to a safer workplace for members and a safer community for the citizens.

Summary of Job Description
As Production Test Pilot Specialist, the incumbent functionally tests, evaluates and accepts all production aircraft in order to insure a constant high quality product according to engineering and manufacturing standards. Also, the incumbent assures compliance with military, FAA and TC standards;
This position includes familiarization, customer training and customer acceptance flights for both military and civilian customers. These flights are often conducted at customer’s operational areas and require frequent travel;
Demonstration (on and offsite), product development and evaluation flights are conducted in close liaison with commercial and military marketing, engineering, quality control, manufacturing and product support Departments.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Must have four thousand five hundred (4,500) hours pilot in command helicopters. A certain number of hours must have been spent on Bell products;
ATP, IFR or instructor licence would be an asset;
Functional knowledge of French (an asset) and perfect knowledge of English required.

Description of position
In anticipation of future training staff requirements, we are accepting applications for the position of Instructor at the Penticton BC School.., The duties include, but are not limited to, ground and flight instruction as well as seasonal duties as a pool pilot. This is an entry-level position for those who are/have considered becoming an Instructor with Canadian Helicopters. Initial emphasis will be focused on developing the successful candidate into a line instructor so that they may assist in providing recurrent, endorsement and mountain training. The goal of this introductory program will be to develop the successful candidate into a Transport Canada certified instructor able to teach all courses offered at the school. Responsibilities: • Teaching ground school and associated flight instructor duties; • Conducting ab initio, mountain, recurrent, and endorsement training; • During periods of inactivity at the school the successful candidate will be assigned to line flying duties as required outside of Penticton Base.

You will be responsible for operating company helicopters through a wide range of missions including all aspects of Utility Flight Operations, patrols, external load operations as well as providing general passenger and executive transportation. You will be responsible for ensuring all regulations and operating procedures are complied with, and passenger safety and comfort are priority. You will ensure active participation in the departments SMS program.
You are responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers and passengers by observing and promoting the company’s Safety and Health Program and responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible anner.
You possess a valid Canadian Commercial Helicopters Pilots License supported by an unrestricted Category 1 Transport Canada medical validation certificate.
You have a minimum of 1500 hours of helicopter pilot-in-command flight experience with at least 500 of those flight hours in turbine helicopters. A combination of Bell 205, Bell 407 or Bell 206L endorsements preferred.
As a prerequisite, final candidates will be asked to provide a photocopy of the last three pages of their pilot’s logbook.
