he Quebec expert in energy continues its development in areas lacking traditional access to electricity
Laval, Quebec, Canada - Sébastien Caron, founder & president of Volts Energies, is pleased to announce the launch of new hybrid systems for remote locations. For this Laval company specialized in efficient energy systems, it is a new development in strategic areas located outside the normal electricity grid.
"The energy system design is our specialty. We believe there is a huge potential in improving energy efficiency particularly in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors off-grid. It fits in perfectly with our growth strategy to focus on the development of energy solutions for customers wishing to increase the energy efficiency of their sites, especially when it comes to remote locations outside the conventional electricity grid" said Mr Caron.
Indeed, Volts Energies has developed new projects with its systems. Foremost, the company has installed a hybrid energy system in a forest camp in Northern Quebec which received up to 38 workers. It is an assembly of solar panels connected to several inverters with a battery bank of high quality. The photovoltaic installation can deploy a maximum output of 24 kw/hour before resorting to the 40 kW generators.
Since the project started in September, there were more that 60% of diesel fuel saved by the camp in 2012. In addition, C02 emissions have been reduced by more than 15 tons per month compared to the previous years. According to the outlook, the solar panels will be able to service the equivalent of 60 to 80% of the requirements of the camp.
Volts Energies was also mandated to provide and install a system for generating electricity in the National Park Reserve of Canada of the Archipel-de-Mingan for a project to restore the lighthouse station at the Ile-aux-Perroquets. This system includes solar panels, a wind turbine, a generator, batteries and a bank of four inverters allowing the remote site to be independent of electricity and a minimal impact on the environment.
Volts Energies has a unique expertise in the field of energy in general and in particular that of hybrid and cogeneration systems for residential, commercial, industrial and vehicles. Experts of the company have been involved in various projects in North America and Latin America over the last ten years, thus contributing to the development of more environmentally friendly energy solutions.
The area of secondary residences such as cottages and country houses requires new reliable solutions, especially in times of economic crisis. To reduce costs, the owners must rely on companies that offer lasting and effective solutions that meet their needs for the coming decades.
"Our renewable energy technologies contribute to significantly reduce operating costs for users, while having a minimal impact on the environment by reducing the production of greenhouse gas emissions. It is important to use only top quality components to ensure the reliability of the system which is crucial in remote areas," said Mr. Caron.
