Product development
To develop a product today is much different from how product development was, with the advancements in industrial design, rapid prototyping and engineering analysis a product can be developed much faster and to a higher degree of accuracy.

An integral part of this manufacturing revolution is awareness, today more than ever the consumer has been empowered by having the choice to purchase.
Many factors play on this choice to purchase, such as quality, eco-impact, design, innovation and price, we try to establish which balance would add the greatest value for any given situation.

Industrial Design
Our search for innovation comes from the knowledge that the market is always seeking something new and better. We begin the industrial design process with innovative workshop sessions. These dynamic brainstorming sessions provide our team with information that supports the development and production of user-centered and market-driven products.
Manufacturing considerations are an integral part of our design process. This includes in-depth investigation of various manufacturing processes and appropriate, cost-effective design for the selected process. We also ensure appropriate designs for assembly and servicing. This early focus on the practical side of design allows us to transition smoothly into the engineering phases of a project, assuring the quality of the final product.

Innovation is the heart of our engineering success. Finding ways to rethink old standards and apply new technologies in the most efficient ways is a central part of our philosophy. We involve engineering and industrial design in the earliest stages of a product's development, which ensures manufacturability and a smooth transition from design to engineering, and from engineering to production. This internal cross-functional involvement allows us to accurately capture the design intent and to release quality-engineered data for production both quickly and cost effectively.

Our verification and validation processes provide the necessary confirmation of sound engineering principles. We provide a full analysis, validation, and verification analysis. Once the product concept has been developed, Lucidream designs the appropriate protocols to confirm that the final engineering solution will conform to the original specification, including appropriate agency approvals.

The key to producing a product that conforms to the original specification is to develop iterative tests, redesign, rebuild, and retest. This effort begins early in the process, and provides quick and effective iterations leading to a final product solution that ultimately meets the specifications, regulatory requirements and marketing strategy.

We consider prototyping to be an integral and essential part of the development process. Our CAD systems allow direct downloading of computer modeling data for mechanical analysis. Our modeling facility also allows us to provide visual/functional models for evaluation, sales samples, and field-testing.

Lucidream works with a wide variety of manufacturers locally in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and abroad in Europe, USA and China , providing us with the best possible manufacturing solutions for each process. To ensure that the design intent is maintained throughout the manufacturing process, intensive communication protocols are established. This includes a strong reliance on web-based tools that allow constant and traceable communications.
