Competition Block Boring & Cylinder Honing
We have a Rottler Manufacturing Boring Machine & a Peterson Equipment/Kansas Instruments Power Stroke Cylinder Hone Machine. With these two pieces of equipment we can offer Superior Boring & Competition Honing that you can count on for a Hi Performance Finish that offers better Ring Sealing as well as less Piston and Ring Drag on the Cylinder Walls.
Customers from all over have been coming to have us do the work on their blocks and they are not disappointed. We also help maintain your engine block with a Fresh Competition Hone when you only need to freshen up the block for next season.
We find that most blocks are out of round or not square if you will when we check a New Block or a Used Block. Even New Race Crate Engine Blocks are in Need of Attention. I have taken a New Crate Engine apart and once the Torque Plates are Torqued in Place and the Block has Stressed for a few hours I have found the Bottom of the Cylinders to be as much as .0015 oversize while the Middle of the Cylinder is as big as .002 oversize and the Top of the Cylinders are out by .001 to .0015 oversize.
I have the tooling to straighten the cylinders and then perform a 5 step Competition Honing Process over a period of 2 to 3 hours and then Plateau Hone the Cylinders for the Final Step in achieving the best finish I can provide. This level of Performance Block Work is what it takes to Get the Best Seal & Make The Most Power from Your Engine.
Contact Us before you freshen up your block for the next season. Thanks, Mike.
