Penticton Precision Skipping provides skipping instruction within the
public and private schools. The program consists of eight sessions or less that
incorporate all facets of jump rope. The students' will enjoy learning
the basic and advanced skipping tricks, as well as develop skills skipping
with a partner and within a group. The long ropes and double dutch ropes
are also introduced, and routines and tricks are learned using these
specific ropes. If an evaluation of the student's progress is needed,
that will also be covered.
|INSTRUCTION ||FEES ( * mileage if necessary) |
|30-40 minutes ||$25.00 per lesson |
Penticton Precision Skipping also offers the opportunity to become
a member of a precision skipping team. The Black Widow Rope Spinners
consist of students aged 5 through 15 from various schools in Penticton.
The team also has a few adult members that come out to skip for fitness
and competition. These students work together as a team to provide demonstrations
of their skills to schools and events in the community. They practice
twice a week to develop these advanced skipping skills. The cost to join is $35.00 a month, and you can come to one or both practises a week for this fee. Each skipper must pay a $15.00 CRSF fee for the year, and a $10.00 BCYSA fee for the year. If a skipper decides to compete, they will pay a $30.00 BCYSA competition fee instead of the regular $10.00 fee, and may require some extra practise time for an additional small fee.
