The initial assessment involves an in-depth interview of the patient to gather information on the patient's overall health. A treatment plan is then developed to treat the "root cause" of the problem and the "localized complaints".

Acupuncture

Acupuncture stimulates the flow of energy through insertion and manipulation of fine, sterile disposable needles at selected acupuncture points.

Auricular acupuncture is the stimulation of acupuncture points on the external ear surface for the treatment of health conditions and is usually used in conjunction with body acupuncture for best results.

Electrical Modalities may be applied to the needles utilizing different frequencies and intensities to accentuate the treatment.

Acupressure by applying pressure using palms and finger tips on selected acupuncture points and meridians, to promote the circulation of Qi & blood. It can be used in lieu of acupuncture if there is fear of needles.

Cupping uses small plastic cups suctioned to the body. It produces a local vasodilation to promote blood circulation, and therefore disperses any tension and stagnation in the body. This technique is also useful in releasing toxins and excess heat from the body. The cups are applied on points along major muscle groups - usually the back, glutes or thighs and the treatment is equivalent to receiving a deep tissue massage.

Moxibustion is a heat tre atment involving the burning of moxa (mugwort) herb above specific acupuncture points of the body. Moxa induces a gradual localized vasodilation response and warms the body from inside and creates a deep relaxation response. This treatment is usually applied for patients who feel excessively cold and have stiff joints.

Herbal Consultation

It is based on TCM( Traditional Chinese Medicine) principles and  Chinese herbs and dietary changes may be recommended to supplement the treatment.

Cranial Sacral Therapy

With a very gentle placement of hands, the cranial sacral rhythm is optimized by releasing restrictions in the fascia and along the spine and sutures of the skull. It is very effective in treating concussions, headaches, TMJ, nerve impingements.
