 The eVelocity ISS software concept

The concept of eVelocity integrated security screening (ISS) software consists of taking advantage of network and other related technologies to streamline the security screening process. eVelocity enhances security screening operations and related support activities by monitoring and managing processes, operations and systems with centralizing data and resources.

Conceptually, eVelocity is designed around three main components: the checkpoint, the server room and the remote screening room. The checkpoint is where the screening of passengers is taking place in one or several lanes, with possibly numerous checkpoints, terminals or airports, with all X-ray data being fed into the network. Second component is the server room where images and data are centralized. The third component is the remote screening room where image analysis and command control are executed by security screeners grouped together to proceed with X-ray image analysis and decision via a queue manager, on a first in - first out based-model.

With an optimized checkpoint layout and the use of peripheral equipment and software, including Optosecurity XMS® Threat Detection Software Suite, all scanned items are tagged clear or marked by the remote screeners and sent to checkpoint security guards allowing them to promptly proceed with alarm resolution for the marked items only at the inspection station. Passengers with clear items can promptly be dispatched to the terminal. 

eVelocity is a software suite with a wide diversity of applications and tools for the checkpoint operations, the entire terminal or airport or for a group of airports from a regional or national network:

  • screening operations management– with remote image analysis, automated threat detection, alarm resolution, process and performance monitoring, command and control dashboard, TIP management
  • data analytics- including metrics collection, post processing analysis and process simulation and data aggregation, training, data mining, process optimization, training standards and reporting
  • network & systems management -with system alert, logging and archiving, system health monitoring and other functionalities allowing for the creation of a network operations center, data warehousing, remote system diagnostic and maintenance

eVelocity Viewer

eVelocity converts X-ray raw data into vendor agnostic images that can be viewed remotely from primary image analysis and command and control oversight.

eVelocity Monitoring Dashboard

eVelocity includes a multi-level application where the 1st level provides an overview of all of the lanes being monitored, then the 2nd allows the user to get more info about a specific lane, and finally the 3rd level provides access to images or logs.
