Services Offered at Parkview Meadows:

Banking

Special banking arrangements have been made with the CIBC Jarvis branch.

Crafts and Games Rooms

The Games Room has a variety of game opportunities, i.e. pool table, shuffle boards. The Games Room also has exercise equipment. The Crafts Room has a counter top and supply cabinets, and is often used for meetings and family get-togethers.

Dining Room and Meeting Room Facilities

Parkview Meadows dining room and other meeting rooms are often used by families, community and church organizations. Dinners, lunches and snacks are available. Inquiries should be directed to the Office and/or the Food Services Coordinator for rental and meal prices.

Laundry

Public coin operated laundry facilities are available in the Brookview and Valleyview residences. Laundry for Southview residents is included in the monthly fee. Brookview residents may, at their own cost, equip their apartments with washer/dryers.

Library

Parkview Centre has a large library with books, magazines and games for all residents. Valleyview also has a library and games area.

Other Services

The Hair Salon offers services by appointment. Foot Care is available by appointment. In addition a MedicationMonitoring, Meals on Wheels from our own kitchen, V.O.N. and HomeCare are available.

Private Guest Room

Parkview Meadows has a large private guest room available for any guests residents may have.

Recreational Activities

Activities are arranged by the Activities Coordinator for all residents of Parkview Meadows. Among the activities are: movies, musical presentations, bowling, bingo, exercise, crafts and a Bible study.

Transportation

Parkview Meadows offers its van on request for banking or special community events. Transportation is also provided every other week for shopping in either Hagersville, Port Dover, or Simcoe.

Tuck Shop

Parkview Meadows Tuck Shop is open daily from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. (except Sunday). The Tuck Shop is operated by the Residents Council, offers basic necessities,is staffed by volunteers and all profits are used to purchase items which benefit all residents.

Workshops

Brookview and Valleyview each have a workshop available to their residents with shop equipment mostly owned by residents for crafts and woodworking etc.

Worship Services

A worship service is held every Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the dining room. Services are arranged by the Haldimand County Ministerial Association, and conducted by a community Pastor. Transportation is provided to the Jarvis Christian Reformed Church for residents to attend their morning and evening services as well.
