The Remix Project will play host to The First Annual ‘Stack Chips for Remix’ Texas Hold’em Charity Poker Tournament, in the efforts to raise funds to level the career fields for young people from disadvantaged, marginalized and under served communities; by giving youth the skills to help propel them into their chosen creative field.

With celebrity ambassadors such as Canada’s own, K’naan, Drake’s official DJ – Future the Prince and Melanie Fiona, it becomes no surprise the Remix Project is hosting an event with some of the most talented North American media personalities and celebrities. Limited to a general public seating capacity of 200 players (one celebrity at each table) poker players will have the opportunity to shake hands with some of their favorite TV personalities, sports figures and celebrities as they ‘stack their chips for Remix.’

Media and Celebrities Scheduled to Appear:

Cabbie, Mpho Koaho from Steven Spielberg’s series “Falling Skies,” Wilder Weir from Cosmo TV, stand-up comedian Trixx, top realtor Brad Lamb, Danny Fernandes, Jordan, Cory Lee from Degrassi: The Next Generation’s, NHL alumni Kevin Weekes, Mocha from KISS FM, Bedouin Soundclash and many more.

On Sunday, April 17th, at 99 Sudbury’s glass factory, will play host to the merge of media, celebrities and philanthropists all in one location. The First Annual ‘Stack Chips for Remix’ Texas Hold’em Charity Poker Tournament, proceeds at 1:00pm for media and players registration, with a 2:00pm start time and a $50 initial buy-in. Winners of the tournament will receive trips to Vegas, Montreal and Quebec City, TV’s, celebrity lunch-ins, Flip Video Cameras, Town Shoes gift certificates, Ipods, jewelry, med spa gift certificates, menswear and much more.
