Assistive Technology Training for Parents:
Our AT training focuses on parents having a hands on experience. It has been found that the number one success factor for a child with a learning disability is parental involvement. Learn the assistive tools which your son or daughter currently use in their classroom. Become proficient in their use so that you can support your learner at home.
Tutors with Computers:
One on one group sessions are very focused and engaging learning sessions on various pieces of Assistive Technology software. One on one training sessions can vary in length from 1 hour to 2 full hours in length. There is an additional 30 minutes of session time allotted for teacher support training at any point during a 2 hour session.
Group Training - Group Training Events
Group sessions offer the same opportunities as one on one sessions with some additional benefits for the student or user. While creating a comfortable and engaging learning environment, students’ experiences will be enhanced due to the ability to work with others who have similar learning differences and learning levels. This session format is a great when trying to break down some social barriers associated with some forms of assistive technology such as the stigma of using a computer in school.
