This weight loss program combines the art of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture) and the most up-to-date knowledge of food and proper food combining to help you get your body to a healthy and happy place with more balance, more energy and more appetite for life!
Acupuncture has been shown to be an effective way to naturally suppress the appetite and help you lose weight. Acupuncture can stimulate your sensory systems in the brain that control your eating habits, decreasing appetite, reducing cravings (for sweets, fat, alcohol etc.), and decreasing the irritability associated with dieting. The needles are applied to corresponding meridian points on the arms, legs and abdomen. Acupuncture at these points over a period of 6-10 weeks can significantly reduce body weight.
I will give you the exact list of foods to eat and foods to avoid. I can only give you suggestions for recipes. In my experience, giving out the exact recipes has proven to be ineffective for the majority of my patients. It will be up to you to adapt this program to fit your own preferences and/or create your own recipes with the allowed foods, so you can slowly incorporate this new diet into your lifestyle.
My approach to the weight loss is all about you. I take you, your present state of health, your preferences and your lifestyle choices into account and fine-tune it a little bit to show you the way for a better health.
It is about whole foods, foods preferably that are grown locally, with only a minimal number of supplements that you need.
This diet is not about keeping you in a starvation mode, and is not about counting calories. I do not believe in counting calories. It is about achieving balance between the amount of food that you eat in, the quality of food, and the way that you metabolize your food and how you expend your energy.
It is about improving your digestion, so that the foods that you eat are the ones that nourish you, leave you energized and feeling great.
Weight itself can create a lot of health problems for you. It can lead to elevated blood sugars, blood pressure, sleeping problems, pain in the joints and many other chronic illnesses. It is not just about looks.
Please, do not think of a weight loss as it should happen as quickly as possible. Quick weight loss can also lead to health problems; can lead to diseases or aggravate the existing conditions (e.g. kidney disease). Be prepared for a slow weight loss, for changing your weight by changing your lifestyle.
