Your job is out there. We’ll help you find it.  As an Employment Ontario service provider JobStart’s   goal is to make it easier for job seekers to find and access employment and training services. We do this by providing an integrated service delivery for job seekers and employers looking to hire. Our professional staff are here to help you prepare for and find work in your field if interest.  JobStart is “Where Futures Begin!”

JobStart has a range of services available at no cost to you including Customized Workshops, Employment Assessment, Individual Job Coaching, Work Trials and Job Placement, and access to Job Search Resources and Equipment:

Employment Ontario programs and services are offered at JobStart’s 219 Dufferin St., Suite #1C location (King & Dufferin), and JobStart’s 2930 Lake Shore Blvd. W., location (corner of Islington Ave. and Lake Shore Blvd. W.) Employment Ontario programs and services are not offered at JobStart’s 41 Chauncey Ave. Location.

Customized Workshops, Employment Assessment, Individual Job Coaching, Work Trials and Job Placement

- JobStart helps clients find sustainable employment * assessment of skills, capabilities, interests and experience * job search strategies , including resume preparation * information about different careers and occupations, the local labour market, employment and training opportunities * on-the-job training and/or work experience and, in some cases, additional support to help maintain employment * information about all Employment Ontario programs and services * access to Second Career program to provide laid-off workers with skills training for high-demand occupations * information about, and referral to other community services and support.

Job Search Resources and Equipment

– anyone, including people with jobs, those who are under-employed, people looking for work, students, apprentices, internationally trained individuals, employers.  Resources include access to computers, resource materials, fax machines, photocopier and telephones.  Prior to accessing the Resource Information Service clients need to meet with a JobStart staff member.
