Restorative dental care does more than just sooth the pain of an aching cavity. It helps prevent disease and preserves your teeth for decades to come. We provide a full range of restorative services, from mouthguards to root canals.

We have each performed thousands of restorative procedures in our 20-plus years as dentists. We make the process fast and pain-free, so you can rest at ease. Brand new technology and the most up-to-date practices mean you are getting the best dental care available in Toronto.

Toronto Restorative Services

  • Digital X-rays with Reduced Radiation – We have the latest digital X-Ray technology in our North York office. Digital X-rays decrease radiation exposure by over 80% and allow you to instantly see what we see on a screen in front of you.
  • Tooth Fillings & Restorations – A filling is used to ‘fill-in’ the space left in a tooth when a cavity is removed. We use porcelain or composite (synthetic) fillings; both are non-toxic and mercury-free.
  • Root Canal – When the soft inner tissue of a tooth becomes inflamed or infected we may need to perform a root canal treatment. By cleaning the canal and filling it, we can often preserve the tooth.
  • Sealants – Where there is a high risk of tooth decay, we spread a coating of resin-based material over teeth. This prevents food and plaque from getting trapped in crevasses.
  • Mouth Guards – Many patients grind their teeth while sleeping, wearing down the enamel on their teeth. We can create a soft plastic mouthpiece to protect your teeth while you sleep.

Other products and services from North York Dental Clinic

North York Dental Clinic | Services - orthodontics

We have decades of experience in orthodontics, but we also have up-to-date training in the most advanced orthodontic treatments – like invisible braces and Invisalign braces. Fixed Braces – Traditional wire braces are still the most efficient and affordable way to straighten teeth, particularly in cases of major crowding or bite issues.

North York Dental Clinic | Services - oral and perio surgery

There are different types of soft-tissue grafts, but all involve removing a strip of gum tissue and stitching it into a treated area, to cover root exposure. Flap Debridement – When gum disease (or periodontitis) is too advanced to perform simple scaling or root planning, we will conduct open flap debridement. Osseous Surgery – Gum disease sometimes causes holes in the bone around your teeth.

North York Dental Clinic | Services - dental implants

North York Dental offers robust and effective dental implants that firmly anchor replacement teeth when there are no supporting teeth for bridges. We have years of implantlogy experience and are also constantly upgrading our training, so we’re versed in the most current implant procedures. Implants have a very high success rate and can last indefinitely if properly cared for.

North York Dental Clinic | Services - cosmetic dentistry

Dentures – We offer a range of dentures to replace missing teeth, including conventional removable dentures, and more permanent dentures relying on bonding or clasping onto teeth or dental implants. Dental Bridges – Also called ‘fixed partial dentures,’ bridges are false teeth, fused between two porcelain crowns designed to fill an area left by a missing tooth or teeth.

North York Dental Clinic | Services - hygiene

When you come in for your check-up, you’ll get more than just a one-time cleaning – we’ll set you up with a personalized dental treatment plan that addresses your whole health. Fluoride Treatment – Acid-producing bacteria collect around the teeth and gums in a sticky, clear film called ‘plaque’ which is responsible for tooth decay.

North York Dental Clinic | Services - conscious sedation

Eating & Drinking Do not give your child solid foods, milk or dairy products at least 6 hours prior to the sedation appointment. Oral conscious sedation is recommended in order to make your Child’s dental visit as easy and comfortable as possible. You can rinse out your mouth; just try to minimize swallowing excess water so your stomach remains basically empty.
