Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:
Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. Referrals to behavioral specialists are available when needed.
Boarding: We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.
Dentistry: A complete dental suite is located within the hospital. Ultrasonic scaling, extractions, oral surgery, restorations, and endodontic procedures are performed routinely.
Diagnostic Imaging: Our on-site, digital X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. Ultrasound studies are also available.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
Endoscopy: Flexible and rigid endoscopic visualization of the gastrointestinal tract, upper and lower airways, ear canals, urinary tract and abdominal cavity (laparoscopy) is perfomed in a minimally invasive way.
Grooming: Please see our Grooming page under the Services Menu.
Individualized Flea Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.
Laboratory: For quick and complete diagnostic evaluation, in-house computerized blood analysis, electrocardiogram evaluation and other routine tests are provided. For specialty testing, such as non-routine blood work, microbiology, histopathology, and cytology, there is an affiliation with the appropriate laboratory.
Night Care: After hours care is provided by a night attendant and by a technician living in the building. A doctor is always on call for in-house patients.
Parking: Parking is available in the front and back of the building for your convenience.
Permanent identification (Microchip): We offer microchip identification. Microchipping is the only way to permanently identify your pet. Although identification tags are useful, they can be easily removed or lost making it difficult to reunite you with your loved one.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.
Security: For the safety of your pet, the hospital is equipped with a state of the art security system, centrally monitored to detect fire and break-in. A technician lives in the building providing additional security during non-office hours.
Surgical Services: All surgeries are performed aseptically within the hospital by qualified veterinary surgeons. Board certified surgeons are available for specialized surgical procedures. All surgical anesthetics are closely monitored by the attending veterinarian and animal health technician.
