FOR CLIENTS, we schedule a meeting in your office, where we get to know your business and have a clear understanding of your objectives. We will determine your expectations of our firm. We ask that you provide us with a thorough description of the position that is to be staffed. We will explore the key selection criteria and also establish the particular nuances of the department, position, team, culture etc. to facilitate our search.
FOR CANDIDATES, we schedule an interview in our office where we will thoroughly explore your career history, education, salary expectations, references and most importantly how we might assist you in your employment search.
THE SEARCH BEGINS
We begin the search by identifying and screening candidates who closely match the criteria set out by our client. Your time is important and we do not want to waste it. We refer candidates who have a keen interest in exploring the opportunity. Candidates are contacted first before referral, as it is in everyone’s best interest to obtain consent. Our consultants have developed not only a wide pool of candidates but also an effective network of resources. We are not “headhunters” and our methods of operation are governed by the highest ethical standards. We are proud to say that one of our best sources of candidates is through referrals. Our database contains candidate profiles at all levels within the insurance industry across Canada.
We introduce a candidate to a client by providing a resume and a candidate profile. We then touch base with the client to ensure that they have all the information to proceed to the interview stage. We prepare the candidate for the interview process by supplying a job description, company profile and other relevant information. We do everything in our power to prevent any surprises in the initial interview and ensure that both parties are well-informed. Once an interview has been conducted, we then follow-up with the client and the candidate to facilitate the process. Detailed references are checked prior to an offer being extended. If an offer is to be extended, we will do so on behalf of our client. Our involvement in this stage of the selection process is key, as it often involves overcoming obstacles such as counter-offers. Our role is to facilitate ongoing communication between both parties.
