Facebook Production -- Defendant to Receive Plaintiff's Facebook Profile with 366 "Friends"

An early 2007 Ontario case dealing with disclosure of a plaintiff's Facebook account profile.

Ontario Superior Court of Justice case of Murphy v. Perger (2007) 67 C.P.C. (6th) 245, whereby Madam Justice Rady ordered production of a plaintiff's Facebook account profile, which was marked as a "private" account but had 366 Facebook "friends" attached.

Plaintiff put her pre-accident abilities and activities into play, serving photographs of her being active before the accident.

Defendant brought a motion seeking the photographs of the plaintiff on her Facebook acount, which was called "The Jill Murphy Fan Club".
