Thermal Imaging or Infrared Scaning uses special Infrared Cameras to detect anomalies (abnormally hot or cold area) in structures and equipment, indicating a potential failure of equipment or the building envelope.
It can warn of moisture intrution which can lead to mold.
Air leakage can be detected and in turn energy loss can be prevented.
Faulty mechanical components can be detected and replaced when the eauipment is not in use, thus preventing costly shut downs during peak usage times.
Fires can be prevented by identifying fauly electrical circuits. Thsi in turn can save lives and money.
