Our ACE Professional Services offering consists of three tiers based on our ACE best practices methodology. The objective of each ACE tier is to provide ever more in depth training in ALM best practices that you can employ in your IT services and application development environments.

Tier I > ACE Inventory and Workflow Fundamentals

Tier I gives you the basic tools to support our ACE methodology. There are three modules in this tier—Basic Change Management Module, Expanded Change Management Module, and ALM Workflow Module.

Basic Change Management Module >

Builds the foundation for the ACE methodology, applying software best practices to inventory, development, and release/deployment management. This module takes you through a basic implementation of Aldon Lifecycle Manager (either IBM i or Enterprise Edition). You will go through the process of gathering requirements, installing, and configuring Aldon Lifecycle Manager with your priority application. Upon completion of this module, your administrator will have the basic understanding of how to proceed with placing any remaining software inventory from other applications under change management control; your administrator will have been trained; and your developers will have completed the basic end user training.

Expanded Change Management Module >

Extends the ACE principles established in the Basic Change Management Module to assist you in placing your additional applications under Aldon's change management control. The process is repeated until all of your desired applications are under change management control. The Basic Change Management Module is a prerequisite to this module.

ALM Workflow Module >

Expands ACE methodology across all IT, automating the entire workflow from requests to approvals, resolution to delivery. This module includes implementation of Aldon Community Manager where your overall workflow is defined based on ACE best practices and your workflow processes are automated. Our ACE experts will facilitate a comparison of your existing workflow to one with ACE best practices and will offer recommendations on how to improve your overall process. At the conclusion of this module, you will have an automated workflow, facilitated by Aldon Community Manager.

Tier II > ACE Best Practices Site-Certified

Tier II certifies that you have met ACE standards for best practices. There are four modules in this tier—Basic Change Management Module, Expanded Change Management Module, ALM Workflow Module, and a portion of our Audit Prep & Compliancy Module.

This abbreviated module assesses your inventory and product configuration as it applies to the ACE best practices only—it does not cover the full Audit Prep and Compliancy Module. Our ACE professional will audit the configuration of your ALM inventory and document your automated workflow processes. We will provide direction and certify that you have met ACE standards for best practices.

Tier III > ACE Compliance Site-Certified

Tier III certifies that you have met ACE standards for compliance. There are four modules in this tier—Basic Change Management Module, Expanded Change Management Module, ALM Workflow Module, and Audit Prep & Compliancy Module.

The goal is to confirm that your configuration complies with Aldon's best practices as well as enforcement of those best practices by platform security. You will receive a report identifying the known requirements versus the compliance gaps, as well as recommendations on how to fix those discovered gaps in order to meet our ACE best practices for IT compliance.
