The house is supported by jacks, the block walls are removed, and in this case the footing was removed to prevent future problems, but not always the case. Forms are built and supported. Re-bar is added to give it extra strength and are tied into the remaining sections of the footing. A new footing is poured and leveled to the correct height, but left a bit rough in order to help the new block grab better. New blocks are installed with vertical re-bar every 4 feet, and horizontal wire every other bock layer, in order to ensure there will be no further movement. Horizontal re-bar is added at ground level to keep the walls from buckling, and are tied into the remaining section of block walls. The re-bar sections are filled with parging, and another piece added vertically in order to continue the support right to the top. Windows are added, and the walls are waterproofed. Giving the walls time to dry before the house is lowered, and the ground is back filled.
