The meeting was well attended with 20 club members present, we were pleased to see Charlie VE3EHD out to the meeting from the Toronto ARES Group….Charlie informs us that he will be joining our ranks at the next meeting….welcome Charlie it will be nice to have you with the Scarborough Club.

The focus of the earlier part of the meeting was the final signing of the club bylaws by the executive. Copies of the club bylaws will be kept by the executive and a copy in the club safety deposit box along with a backup floppy disk.

Events « Scarborough Amateur Radio Club

Scarborough Amateur Radio Club Field Day 2011 has concluded.This year there were food, internet, wobbly antennas, QRMs, over- performing generators and, above all, lots of fun. I would personally like to thank Ralph VE3VXY and Nick VE3EBC and Rod,VE3SOY for helping me organize this year’s field day. This was our first time at this location but everybody worked together and made the best use of a somewhat limited area.

All positions were open for election, but since we had no more than one nomination for each, there was no need for ballots. Last night we had our elections and Christmas party. Classes « Scarborough Amateur Radio Club

The main Toronto session will be on Saturday, May 7th but if there is sufficient response to me about an evening session in Toronto as well, I have tentatively set aside Wednesday, May 18th at 7 PM here at our headquarters at 4905 Dufferin St. Training sessions will again be held across the province and in some locations for the first time as we try to expand the number of watchers in Central and Northeastern Ontario.
