Retipping is basically rebuilding your dental hand instrument. All retipping of your instrument is done using high quality U.S. Surgical Grade Stainless Steel.
The old ends are removed and replaced with new ends of your choice. This preserves the handle, which is the most costly component of the instrument.
You can have the ends retipped to the original style tip, or you can modify it to another instrument entirely. For example, an SH6/7 sickle scaler may be changed into a posterior S204S scaler. You have the flexibility. Any instrument can be customized according to your specifications. This includes, scalers, curettes, explores, probes, operative instruments, endodontic instruments and surgical instruments.
Please see our order form and price list.
We do not retip ultrasonic inserts as we found this to not be cost effective. We do however sell brand new, high quality (not rebuilt) inserts at a cost equivalent to what you would pay to have them retipped.
We also sharpen all types of dental instruments including scalers, curettes, operative instruments, scissors, and orthodontic wire cutters which still have a useable blade. You can save time and the life of the instrument by using our precision sharpening methods.
Extend the life of your instruments two or more times without risking oxidation or alterations in the tensile strength of the carbon steel. We tungstenize on the stainless steel blade so that the instrument will maintain its sharpness longer.
