Accel Disinfectant and Cleaner for Pet Facilities and Farms
Dogs, Horses, Farms
When compared to traditional disinfectant technologies Accel offers some remarkable properties. It's comprised of a product called Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide (AHP).
What is it? AHP was created by combining low levels of hydrogen peroxide (less than 0.5%) with safe ingredients which in combination drastically improves the efficacy of the hydrogen peroxide. The result has many advantages over traditional disinfectant technologies:
1) Cleaning Ability: Traditional disinfectants are poor cleaners (for example Quats only hit about 16% on cleaning efficacy tests) so you generally need to perform a cleaning step prior to using the disinfectant. AHP is an excellent cleaner (hitting over 86% on the same tests) which makes it more likely to get through the dirt and kill.
2) Efficacy: AHP is EPA approved broad spectrum disinfectant for use against even the most difficult to kill bacteria and viruses. It is also a powerful odor killer that makes animal housing facilities smell remarkably better.
3) Speed: Traditional disinfectants generally take 10 minutes to disinfect. Since surfaces dry quicker than that the product must be reapplied in order to ensure sufficient contact time. Accel Concentrate is twice as fast (taking just five minutes) while Accel TB Ready to Use takes just one minute.
4) Safety: AHP has been EPA approved as a Category IV disinfectant and as such does not require the use of any personal protective equipment. 5) Environmental Responsibility: Unlike many traditional disinfectants AHP is Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) and Nonylphenol Ethoxylates (NPE) free. In fact while hydrogen peroxide is drying it converts to just water vapor and oxygen so it's safer to use around people and animals.
