Star Telecom provides industry leading SIP based VoIP Toll Free service. Also known as 1-800, or 1-8xx service, it comes with a number of optional features and add-ons, some unique to Star Telecom. Our SIP 1-800 service is designed to simplify toll-free call handling and reduce costs while increasing flexibility, scalability and reliability.

How SIP Toll Free works:

1-800 calls are routed through Star Telecom switching platform to an IP address, SIP URI, DID or a combination of end points. The service does not use your existing PRI channels, reducing overall telecommunications costs. In fact, there are no channel charges with our Toll Free service - only per-minute cost for the minutes you actually use. This makes capacity planning really simple as you do not have to worry about number of incoming calls, provisioning T1s, or trying to guess what your peak concurrent channel utilization will be during the busy hour, 2 months from now - how long it takes your existing TDM carrier to provision and install circuits.


Our Toll Free service is designed with contact centers in mind. The number of concurrent channels is managed by Star Telecom and can easily be increased to service a spike in your incoming traffic. Routing logic can be changed in real-time and calls re-routed around and outage for business continuity and disaster recovery purposes. With our service, you can be up and running in days instead of months as is the case with traditional carriers.

If you need a Toll Free number to handle hundreds of incoming calls, and it needs to be set up in days, your existing carrier will probably remind you of the required lead time of month or two,to install their services. We will have the toll free service up and running in days.

Other data feeds can also be integrated to determine the best-site routing based on location of the customer, language, time of day or even demographic information.

Multiple layers of physical and network security, and the fact that calls are not written to magnetic media prior to encryption, ensure that only you will have access to the content of call recordings.
